For my birthday Tully got us tickets to see Bobs Burgers live. Being in the same space as Jon Benjamin’s voice is an experience I am very excited about.
In the sitcom version of our relationship, Emily meets H. Jon Benjamin at this event while in line for like, I don’t know, a hot dog or something and she has an awkward but sexy moment with him that makes her question why...

In the past three days I went from having no where near enough ideas for my Thesis Proposal to having way too many, which seemed like a good problem at first, but now, seems like a bad problem as I finally look at the time and realize I’ve been trying to work through this stuff for like, 5 hours straight, and have only added to my potential issues.

Art World Taboo
An artist friend of mine is in the process of creating a game of Taboo where all the terms are art related. This idea has been a really fun one for me to think about, and try to make up my own cards to in class. How would you talk about Relational Aesthetics without mentioning Rirkrit Tiravanjia or Nicolas Bourriaud? How could you get someone to guess the word discourse without saying Foucault or...

My facebook events are all messed up right now in that I can be invited to events, but I can’t go to event pages. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal except I am having a joint birthday party next week, and my friend just made the event page, and I can’t even RSVP let alone invite anyone.
What is even funnier about this situation is that our new roommate works at facebook to...
Target Free Sunday
At work on Sunday I am going to be standing in basically one place, for 8 hours, as 4,000+ people attempt to get through the Terra Cotta Warrior exhibit that just opened last week, thanks to Target, who sponsors a free museum day the first Sunday of each month. TCW will cost an extra $10, so maybe that will deter some, but it still sounds really scary.
Every normal day I’ve come home from...

– Mike White describing exactly what he does on Enlightened, where I simultaneously am rolling my eyes at Amy Jellicoe’s idealist narcissism and cringing about how un-self aware she is while trying to figure out how I can be enlightened like her.
100 Museums to Visit Before You Die →
I’m really confused about why EVERY SINGLE MUSEUM in Iceland is on this list, while there are only two from ALL OF GERMANY. Also, none from Scandinavia proper…
Also missing, The Guggenheim Bilbao, the Kimbell in Houston, and like, every other important museum ever (except the SUPER obvious ones).

I go to school feeling like I have a strong idea of what i want in life and where I’m going with it. But after that talk with the art history advisor all I feel like doing is…
This advisor is way off base! BUT! Perhaps some information concerning different...

Millie is going on a roid rage tonight.
In 2003 I started hating Lance Armstrong.
I was in a book club and we read his autobiography. Simultaneously, news about his divorce was breaking, and I remember reading all this schmucky bullshit in the biography about how family was so important, and how his father had walked out on him, and it was that event that defined him as a person. He wasn’t going to be the asshole who left his...
